About Read Easy 
	- Founded in 2010 in Dorset, formally established nationally in 2011 as Read Easy UK 
 
	- North, East & West Devon network formed in April 2024, with hubs in Okehampton, Barnstaple, Axminster, Exmouth, and Exeter 
 
	- Supported entirely by volunteers, delivering confidential, one-to-one reading coaching 
 
We are helping Read Easy build a pool of passionate volunteers across Devon, with a particular focus on recruiting a new Team Leader. 
About the Team Leader Role 
As Team Leader, you will coordinate volunteers, drive local initiatives, and ensure the group delivers effective reading support. 
Responsibilities: 
	- Support and guide Reading Coaches and Coordinators 
 
	- Lead communication and volunteer engagement 
 
	- Oversee local partnerships and community outreach 
 
	- Use organisational and IT skills to keep the team connected 
 
Ideal for someone with: 
	- Experience managing or supporting volunteers 
 
	- Interest in adult literacy or community education 
 
	- Confidence with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and email 
 
	- Strong leadership and collaboration skills 
 
Time commitment: 5–7 hours per week, minimum 2-year commitment
