A well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation based in the South West is seeking to strengthen its supply chain capability. Operating within a specialist global market, the business designs and delivers complex engineered solutions and is recognised for its focus on quality, continuous improvement, and long-term supplier partnerships.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a busy and collaborative supply chain team. The role plays a key part in improving supplier performance, validating new suppliers, and supporting purchasing activities to ensure robust, cost-effective, and reliable supply across the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer:

  • Conduct supplier audits and support ongoing supplier performance improvement
  • Validate and onboard new suppliers in line with quality and operational requirements
  • Manage supplier non-conformances through to resolution using ERP systems
  • Work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to support delivery performance and cost efficiency

Requirements of the Supplier Quality Engineer:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in a technical or engineering discipline
  • Proven experience using ERP systems within warehouse, materials management, or planning functions
  • Strong knowledge of supplier scorecards, vendor management, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Full UK driving licence with the ability to visit suppliers as required
