Senior DevOps Engineer (Job Ref 7852) - We are currently working exclusively with our South West based client to recruit an experienced DevOps Engineer to ensure continuous integration and delivery. They are in the process of making massive changes to their infrastructure and platforms and there is plenty more to do!

Responsibilities:

Create deployment pipelines for their database layers
-
Support in moving MS Dynamic AX onto SAAS
-
Help migrate the Web infrastructure onto Azure PAAS
-
Zero downtime blue/green deployments for our Web Platform
-
To own local environments and data utilised by the delivery teams ensuring they are functional and fit for purpose

Feed deployment pipeline requirements into projects so they are part of the project process
-
Orchestrating end-to-end deployment process, in collaboration with the tech and projects teams to ensure all aspects of go-live have been considered

Act as governance for the Delivery teams ensuring key standards are met and contributing and policing via regular Agile ceremonies

Feed into the Ops team non-functional requirements for new features and functionality that require additional alerting, monitoring, security and performance for the platform
Requirements:

Strong Infrastructure background
-
Strong Windows-based skill set, although Linux would also be a bonus!

Understanding of .NET MVC, C#

Good understanding of provisioning and configuration systems

Good scripting skills e.g. PowerShell
-
Good understanding of database (MS T-SQL) and IIS
-
Strong experience of automated deployment tools e.g. Octopus Deploy
-
Good understanding of Continuous Integration technologies and approach, TeamCity
-
Experience with Azure implementation

Good understanding of Source Control systems e.g. GitHub/Bitbucket & TFS

Agile/Scrum working experience
