The Role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate (6+ years PQE) to join the firm’s expanding Private Wealth team in Exeter. This is a growth role within a thriving department that handles a wide range of complex private client matters. The successful individual will be working alongside highly regarded Partners and Associates, providing tailored and strategic advice to HNW clients, families, and trusts. The firm values an office-based culture and is seeking someone who thrives in a collaborative, in-person team environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Associate:
- Manage a diverse caseload of private wealth matters, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning.
- Advise on estate and asset protection, tax-efficient structuring, and trust creation for UK and international clients.
- Support Partners on complex matters while supervising and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management initiatives within the Private Wealth department.
Requirements of the Senior Associate:
- Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE in Private Client / Private Wealth work, ideally with HNW experience.
- STEP qualification (completed or in progress) and a strong technical understanding of tax and estate planning.
- Proven ability to independently manage files, build trusted client relationships, and deliver high-quality legal advice.
- A team-oriented professional with excellent communication, commercial awareness, and commitment to client service.
