Sales Customer Service Administrator (3541)

Ref: 3541

£25,000 + Bonus | In-Office, Full Time | Exeter

Cathedral Appointments is recruiting on behalf of a growing business in the renewable energy sector for a Sales and Customer Service Administrator to join its Exeter office. The business plays an active part in the UK's move towards low-carbon technology and takes real pride in the quality of its service and the standards it works to. With the team expanding, this new appointment will support both the sales and project functions and help make sure every customer has a consistently positive experience.

The Role

This is a varied, people-focused position that sits at the heart of the customer journey, from the first enquiry right through to project handover. It would suit someone with at least a year of customer service experience who is organised, comfortable working with a CRM system, and keen to put their skills to use in a business with a clear sustainability purpose. Experience in renewables or heating would be useful, but a genuine interest in the sector and a strong service mindset matter just as much.

Responsibilities for the Sales and Customer Service Administrator:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for incoming customer calls, logging and tracking leads in the CRM system.
  • Preparing and issuing accurate sales quotations using the business's CRM templates.
  • Resolving customer queries promptly and professionally, both before and after a sale.
  • Gathering and checking project documentation so every job is complete and in order.
  • Keeping partner compliance records up to date, including qualifications and insurance.
  • Supporting a smooth handover from sales to the project team, and helping collect customer feedback and reviews for marketing use.

Requirements for the Sales and Customer Service Administrator include:

  • At least one year's experience in a customer service role.
  • Experience within renewable energy or heating would be an advantage.
  • Clear, confident communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisation and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Good general IT skills, with confidence using CRM systems.
  • A-Level education or equivalent (preferred), and a genuine interest in sustainability.

Benefits:

  • Salary of £25,000 per annum.
  • Bonus scheme.
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
  • Company pension.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • The opportunity to develop your career in a growing, purpose-driven sector.

If you are a customer-focused administrator looking for a role where your work genuinely makes a difference, we would love to hear from you.

Note on Sponsorship: We regret to inform you that at this time, we are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorisation for this role. Therefore, candidates must possess valid authorisation to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship.
