Our client is a well-established organisation based on the outskirts of Exeter. They are seeking a professional and adaptable Temporary Receptionist to provide front-of-house and administrative support for an initial period of up to 8 weeks.
The Role
The Receptionist will act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff, and stakeholders. This is a varied role requiring excellent communication skills, organisational ability, and a commitment to providing a welcoming and efficient reception service.
Part-Time – 2-3 days a week, typically Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays
Hours - 08:15–15:30 working hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Length – Up to 8 weeks cover
Responsibilities of the Receptionist include: -
- Greet and assist visitors, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring a professional and welcoming reception experience.
- Handle telephone calls, emails, and enquiries promptly, directing queries appropriately.
- Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Support daily operations such as mail distribution, attendance monitoring, and assisting with general office tasks.
Requirements of the Receptionist include: -
- Previous reception or administrative experience in a customer-facing role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in using administrative systems.
- An Enhanced DBS check and registration with the DBS Update Service (essential).
Package:
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.26.
