The Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Real Estate Energy Lawyer to join a forward-thinking team specialising in renewable energy projects. The role offers a varied caseload across technologies such as solar, wind, EV, battery storage, and hydro, advising funders, landowners, and developers. The position combines technical legal expertise with a passion for sustainability and innovation, offering hybrid working and long-term career growth in the South West.

Key Responsibilities of the Real Estate Energy Lawyer :

  • Manage a broad caseload of renewable energy transactions including leases, options, easements, and power purchase agreements.
  • Act for a diverse client base including developers, investors, and landowners in onshore renewable projects.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams across corporate, planning, and construction to deliver integrated legal solutions.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and commercial awareness across all engagements.

Requirements of the Real Estate Energy Lawyer:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEX) with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in energy sector real estate work, particularly in options, leases, and renewable projects.
  • Commercially astute, organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the renewable energy sector and commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice.
