The Quality Assurance Lead will play a key role in shaping a scalable, future-proof QA function within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Role Overview:
As Quality Assurance Lead, you will establish and lead the QA function, defining robust manual testing processes while maturing automation capability. Working closely with the Engineering Manager and senior leadership, you will evaluate and enhance the existing Playwright automation framework, ensuring each monthly release is stable, predictable and aligned with quality standards. This is a strategic, hands-on role suited to an experienced QA professional who enjoys building structure, influencing best practice and driving continuous improvement across SaaS product delivery.

Highly flexible hybrid working model, with a minimum of one day per week in the office. For candidates travelling from further afield, accommodation costs can be discussed as required, for the right candidate.

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Lead:

  • Establish and lead QA processes across manual testing, regression cycles, UAT support and automation strategy
  • Evaluate and develop the existing Playwright automation framework, recommending improvements where appropriate
  • Plan and execute testing for monthly software releases, ensuring critical workflows are fully validated
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product and offshore teams to define quality gates, acceptance criteria and release readiness

Requirements of the Quality Assurance Lead:

  • Proven experience in a QA Lead or Senior QA role within a SaaS or digital product environment
  • Strong background in manual testing, regression planning and user acceptance testing
  • Experience assessing or implementing automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to influence quality standards across teams
