The Role:
The Project Accountant will play a key part in ensuring the business maintains strong financial governance during a period of significant growth. Working closely with the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for robust reporting, budgeting and financial analysis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant to step into a dynamic, commercially focused role with clear progression opportunities.
Responsibilities of the Project Accountant:
- Lead on producing clear and insightful financial reports and board packs, highlighting trends and key performance indicators.
- Maintain and enhance the organisation’s financial models, supporting strategic planning and forecasting.
- Monitor cash flow, net debt and banking covenants, ensuring compliance with financial obligations.
- Support budgeting cycles, treasury management, acquisitions and other strategic finance projects.
Requirements of the Project Accountant:
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting skills.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Excellent Excel and financial modelling capability, with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive team player with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
