Our client is a respected, not-for-profit organisation. With a strong focus on values, diversity, and wellbeing, they are now seeking a proactive Payroll and HR Data Assistant to support their people team during an exciting period of development and growth. 

The Role 

This is a pivotal opportunity for someone with strong payroll and HR data expertise to join a passionate and values-driven organisation. Working closely with the Chief People Officer, this role will ensure accurate payroll delivery and generate insightful HR reports that help shape key decisions. 

As a Payroll and HR Data Assistant, you will: 

  • Administer timely and accurate payroll processes, including pension contributions, HMRC liaison, and year-end reconciliations 
  • Maintain, audit and update employee records on the Payroll and HR system in line with data protection policies 
  • Produce and analyse people reports and recruitment data to support organisational decision-making 
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR reporting and payroll queries, resolving issues promptly 

As a Payroll and HR Data Assistant, you will need: 

  • Strong knowledge of payroll, tax and pension legislation, ideally supported by a relevant qualification (CIPP/CIPD Level 3 or equivalent) 
  • Proven experience in payroll administration and HR data reporting, preferably within a not-for-profit or public sector setting 
  • Advanced Excel and IT skills, with confidence in interpreting and communicating data clearly 
  • Organised, adaptable, and collaborative with a commitment to equality, diversity and the organisation’s values
