One of the South West’s leading Accountancy firms are seeking an in-house Payroll Assistant. To provide an excellent level of service whilst working with clients across a range of industry sectors, including sole-traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
As a Payroll Assistant you will be focused on delivery of work in line with budgeted recovery rates and are responsible for ensuring that our clients receive the best possible client experience; proactively searching for opportunities to add value.
Payroll Assistant Responsibilities:
- Registering new PAYE schemes with HMRC and setting up client payrolls.
- Review and create payroll policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
- Provide advice on tax and payment laws within the UK.
- HMRC compliance checks and HMRC audits
- You will ensure staff under your responsibility are mentored, and developed,
Payroll Assistant Requirements:
- Desirable experience within Professional Services and/or Bureau
- To understand when it is necessary to escalate either technical or client experience issues to the partner or support specialists.
- A learning mind-set with the ability to receive feedback to implement corrective advice ensuring achievement of key objectives and service delivery to clients.
- Full driving licence
