Up to £45,000 DOE | Hybrid Working with Flexibility | Exeter
Our client is an award-winning, independent Chartered Financial Planning and Discretionary Fund Management firm based in Exeter, providing bespoke wealth management, investment, pension and tax planning advice built on long-term client relationships. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a Senior Paraplanner/Technical Assistant to support the client journey from first enquiry through to ongoing advice.
The Role
This is a key, dynamic role suited to an experienced paraplanner who enjoys close collaboration with advisers, technical, client services and investment teams. You will act as a central point of contact for clients, helping to develop robust processes and producing accurate technical documentation at every stage of the advice journey. The role offers genuine scope to shape the business as it grows, working closely with the firm's directors, with further professional training and development available as required.
Responsibilities for the Senior Paraplanner:
- Support and collaborate with the advisers, technical, client services and investment teams, acting as a key point of contact for clients
- Help organise and co-ordinate the technical and client services team's workload to ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Mentor and support the development of junior members of the technical team
- Write client reports and technical analysis in line with the firm's FCA compliance requirements
- Keep up to date with financial products and legislation to meet ongoing FCA regulatory requirements
- Maintain the office CRM system, ensuring records are kept accurate, compliant and up to date
Requirements for the Senior Paraplanner:
- Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent (RO1-RO6) as a minimum
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
- Confident, organised self-starter with excellent time management
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both with clients and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy across all aspects of the role
- Strong IT skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel, with confident letter-writing, numeracy and analytical ability
