Role Overview:
As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, insightful financial information to support operational and strategic decision making. Working closely with production and senior leadership teams, you will combine hands-on accounting responsibilities with commercial analysis, particularly around manufacturing costs, stock control and margin performance. This is a highly visible role with real impact across the business.
Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:
- Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary, variance analysis and KPI reporting
- Analyse manufacturing costs including materials, labour and overheads, supporting pricing and margin reviews
- Maintain core ledgers, post journals and complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate month-end reporting
- Support stock control, WIP accounting, system improvements and internal controls across operations
Requirements of the Management Accountant:
- Proven experience in a hands-on Management Accountant role
- Strong manufacturing or cost accounting background
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems, including stock modules
- Professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA, or qualified by experience
