The Role: 

As a Legal Support Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support to lawyers and wider teams. This varied position involves assisting with billing, coordinating client communications, supporting matter management, and helping to keep the department running smoothly. This role would suit someone who is organised, proactive and keen to gain experience within a legal or professional environment. 

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Support Assistant: 

  • Process electronic payments. 
  • Record and allocate receipts to client accounts, ensuring invoice payments are applied correctly. 
  • Download and prepare bank data for internal financial systems. 
  • Respond promptly to finance-related queries from colleagues. 
  • Support the monthly invoicing cycle and meet financial deadlines. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Finance team to maintain accurate financial records. 

Requirements of the Legal Support Assistant: 

  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal. 
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. 
  • Previous administrative or professional services experience is beneficial but not essential. 
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across teams. 
  • Competent with Microsoft Office; experience with billing or finance processes is an advantage.
