The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Support Assistant to join a high-performing team that handles complex and sensitive cases, particularly in the field of clinical negligence and abuse law. You’ll be part of a dynamic, compassionate group of professionals working on high-profile cases, playing a vital role in delivering first-class support and care to clients during some of their most challenging times.

Key Responsibilities of a Legal Support Assistant:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support, including case file opening and maintenance
  • Assist with caseload management and the day-to-day handling of files for fee earners
  • Liaise with Counsel and medical experts to coordinate case-related conferences
  • Support case financials, including processing invoices and responding to client and lawyer queries

Key Requirements of the Legal Support Assistant:

  • Proven experience in a legal or professional services support role, with strong secretarial and administrative skills
  • A calm, compassionate and resilient nature, able to manage sensitive and sometimes distressing case material
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Case Management Systems, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately
