Summary:
Cathedral Appointments has a great opportunity for a candidate to join our client’s local well-established law firm as a Legal Secretary in the centre of Exeter. The successful candidate will be looking to work as a Legal Secretary and will be happy to undertake a high volume of typing work as well as general administrative duties for the fee earners in the Residential Property team.
What will you be doing as a Legal Secretary?
- Preparing correspondence and documents by means of audio typing
- Maintaining client files to a high standard including, daily filing and the opening, closing and retrieval of client files and documents
- Making appointments, arranging meetings and maintaining a diary
- Operating case management and accounts procedures
- Dealing with clients, professional contacts and others over the telephone and in person, taking accurate messages and dealing with simple enquiries when able to do so
Skills/Qualifications of a Legal Secretary: -
- Ideally, you will have some Legal Secretary experience, however, our client will consider any candidates who want to undertake this type of work and who have either a Law degree, or a background in administration or general secretarial experience
- You will have speedy and accurate typing skills
- You will have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You will be competent using Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
