Our client, a distinguished, prestigious Law Firm, is looking to recruit a Commercial Property Legal Secretary on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in the beautiful Southwestern location of Taunton, your duties will be centered around providing administrative support to the firm’s Commercial Property team. You will possess prior Commercial/Conveyancing experience, and an interest in Farming and Rural affairs would be advantageous.

What will you be doing as a Commercial Property Legal Secretary?
- Completing Land Registry and SDLT forms online.
- Undertaking online searches.
- Providing support in the progression of conveyancing transactions.
- Exchanging contracts and dealing with completions.
- Preparing contracts, transfers, trust deeds and correspondence.
- Overseeing completion statements.
- Raising the invoices of solicitors.
- Taking instructions from and liaising with clients.
- Dealing with telephone calls confidently, and providing accurate, up to date information.
- Producing documents through using the Firm’s case management software.
Skills/Qualifications of a Commercial Property Legal Secretary:
- Previous experience within the fields of Commercial Property/Conveyancing.
- A keen interest in Farming and Rural affairs (advantageous).
- Excellent administrative skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Sound communication skills, in both a verbal and a written sense.
- A proactive approach to work with a desire to always keep learning and improving.
- Confidence in managing a busy workload with an ability to thrive under pressure.
- A good use of initiative, with the capacity to adapt to changing priorities.
- IT competency, particularly in the use of MS Office and associated software.
