Summary:

Our client, a distinguished, prestigious Law Firm, is looking to recruit a Commercial Property Legal Secretary on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in the beautiful Southwestern location of Taunton, your duties will be centered around providing administrative support to the firm’s Commercial Property team. You will possess prior Commercial/Conveyancing experience, and an interest in Farming and Rural affairs would be advantageous.

The firm has an experienced Commercial Property workforce, who deal with a wide range of tasks. The company greatly values its inclusive ethos, and is incredibly dedicated to providing an impeccable service for clients and colleagues.

 

What will you be doing as a Commercial Property Legal Secretary?

  • Completing Land Registry and SDLT forms online.
  • Undertaking online searches.
  • Providing support in the progression of conveyancing transactions.
  • Exchanging contracts and dealing with completions.
  • Preparing contracts, transfers, trust deeds and correspondence.
  • Overseeing completion statements.
  • Raising the invoices of solicitors.
  • Taking instructions from and liaising with clients.
  • Dealing with telephone calls confidently, and providing accurate, up to date information.
  • Producing documents through using the Firm’s case management software.

 

Skills/Qualifications of a Commercial Property Legal Secretary:

  • Previous experience within the fields of Commercial Property/Conveyancing.
  • A keen interest in Farming and Rural affairs (advantageous).
  • Excellent administrative skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Sound communication skills, in both a verbal and a written sense.
  • A proactive approach to work with a desire to always keep learning and improving.
  • Confidence in managing a busy workload with an ability to thrive under pressure.
  • A good use of initiative, with the capacity to adapt to changing priorities.
  • IT competency, particularly in the use of MS Office and associated software.
