Junior IT Test Engineer
Our client, an innovation leader in system integration solutions, is looking to recruit a Junior IT Test Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to take on an extremely interesting role within the Product Test team and the R&D team, forming part of the larger Engineering function. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a spectacular company and provide support to high-end clients with their specific hardware needs.
This role will be full-time in their office based just outside of Newton Abbot, Devon due to the hands-on nature of the role.
Junior IT Test Engineer Responsibilities
- Production and maintenance of a Test Case Database
- Definition of Test Suites and Regression Test Suites
- Execution of System Tests and Test Suites
- Working with Product Support to replicate customer issues for 3rd Line Support activities
- Install, configure and test appropriate Hardware / Software to develop an improve the test network
Junior IT Test Engineer Requirements
- A keen interest in hands-on experimenting with new tech
- Relevant experience in an IT and/or networking-related role would be ideal
- An IT-specific qualification at either degree or Level 3 or 4 apprenticeship, or other relevant IT qualifications/certifications
- Networking knowledge, monitoring and analysis – switching, routing, security, firewalls
- Server experience –ideally both Windows and Linux
- Knowledge of VDI solutions including VMware
- CCNA, Active Directory, Citrix, VMware (VCA/VCP) desirable
- MacOS and Apple hardware experience desirable
