Are you an experienced IT Service Desk Manager looking to join a reputable and established business with offices across the South West. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business in the process of expanding and developing its tech offering and the teams within to support this. Our clients are looking for an experienced people manager who has previously led and grown tech teams and is able to develop with the business. You will be responsible for managing the team that supports over 600 employees across the business whilst developing procedures to keep pace with the business requirements! It is a very exciting time to join this business as they have further plans to expand, opening the opportunity for progression.

 

IT Service Desk Manager responsibilities include:

  • Managing team capacity and ensuring the service desk staff can provide the level of service required by the business
  • Ensuring the day to day running of the service desk team, managing rotas, organising staff and their workloads, and ensuring high team performance
  • Be involved with implementing new service and software upgrade projects
  • Overall responsibility for hardware stock processes and hardware replacement projects

 

Requirements of an IT Service Desk Manager:

  • Knowledge of IT Service Management Processes, ITSM methodologies and toolsets
  • Experience managing a team of IT support professionals
  • Experience managing incident response and handling requests for information and knowledge
  • The ability to take ownership and have a proactive approach to problem management whilst utilising other teams and 3rd party providers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Server environments and Office 365 solutions (Azure Active Directory, Teams, etc would be desirable)
