Introduction/Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a forward thinking, international business based in Exeter. This is a fixed term contract to cover a period of 12 months in which the successful candidate will manage a number of projects including both tech and commercial.
The main purpose of the role will be to liaise with other departments to ensure the smooth running of a number of key projects, ensuring key milestones are achieved and any barriers are managed effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Allocate work to the project team and team members to make full and effective use of the resources and budget available to the project.
- Build relationships with other teams indirectly involved in the project and with the wider project stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee the project plan; develop cost estimates; and manage the overall delivery of the work. You will track and report actual cost against plan and budgets, such as resource usage, operating costs and capital expenditures.
- Organise the project work to mitigate risk and uncertainty as quickly as possible and maximise return on investment whilst also reporting on status of the projects.
- Create an appropriate project organisation and define roles that are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain relevant.
- Ensure identification, capture, logging and active management of issues, risks, changes, activities and tasks. Escalate issues or risks appropriately.
- Assume accountability for all aspects of the project.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an IT Project Manager
- Prince 2 qualified
- Experience of AGILE working
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised and able to priortise
