Role Overview:
This interim HR Advisor position provides high-quality employee relations advice and operational HR support during a period of cover. Working closely with senior HR colleagues and local leadership teams, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers, guiding them through a wide range of HR matters while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies. The role offers the opportunity to manage varied ER cases, contribute to policy development, and support improvements in people management practices.
Responsibilities of the interim HR Advisor:
- Provide expert advice to managers on employee relations matters including absence management, performance, conduct, grievance and flexible working.
- Support and guide managers through formal HR processes, including hearings, investigations and appeals.
- Oversee and support the day-to-day work of HR administrators while ensuring HR processes are delivered efficiently.
- Contribute to HR projects, policy development and training initiatives that strengthen people management capability.
Requirements for the interim HR Advisor:
- CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or equivalent HR experience with active professional membership.
- Proven HR advisory experience managing a varied employee relations caseload.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and best practice HR procedures.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise in complex situations.
