A well-established, privately owned organisation with a strong regional presence is seeking interim support within its finance team. Operating across multiple sites, the business is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to maintaining high financial standards during a period of increased activity.
Role Overview:
This Interim Financial Accountant position offers an excellent opportunity to join a small, dedicated finance team and make an immediate impact. Reporting into the Finance Director, this is a broad, hands-on interim role with responsibilities including:
Responsibilities of the Interim Financial Accountant:
- Preparing timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with deadlines
- Proposing and implementing process improvements, particularly around reconciliations and reporting
- Supporting the month-end close process, including:
- Accruals and prepayments
- Fixed assets and depreciation journals
- Assisting with month-end financial reporting
- Managing sales ledger processes including invoicing, credit notes and cash posting
- Performing customer account reconciliations
- Supporting the development and improvement of finance processes, procedures and controls
Requirements of the Interim Financial Accountant:
- Fully qualified AAT or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
- Strong IT skills including financial systems, Excel and Office 365
- Solid experience in double-entry bookkeeping and account reconciliations
- Highly numerate, analytical and detail-driven
- Must be happy to be office based
