HR Manager required to join a successful business based in North Devon on a full-time, permanent basis. As well as taking overall responsibility for the HR function, duties for this role include, providing guidance to managers and employees on HR issues, managing the administration of HR policies & procedures, and ensuring the business adheres to all legal requirements regarding HR related issues. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of Employment Law, strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities include: -

  • Lead/manage the HR team ensuring their full effectiveness through guidance, development, training, and motivation
  • Develop and implement an annual agenda for HR strategy, in line with the business plan
  • Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines
  • Develop and implement strategy for HR management and development (including recruitment and selection policy/practices, discipline, grievance, pay and conditions, contracts, training and development, succession planning, morale and motivation, performance appraisals)
  • Monitor and report on HR issues, opportunities, development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
  • Responsible for all aspects of recruitment and selection
