Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the People team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day HR advisory support with project work. You will work closely with managers across the organisation, providing practical and confident advice on employee relations matters while also helping to strengthen key people processes and initiatives.

Responsibilities of the HR Advisor:

  • Provide expert HR advice and independently manage employee relations casework, including absence, performance, conduct and wellbeing matters
  • Lead the delivery of a staff survey, supporting engagement and helping managers turn feedback into meaningful actions
  • Review and improve onboarding, induction and offboarding processes, identifying practical opportunities for improvement
  • Support wider People team priorities, including internal communications, learning and development activity, policy updates and HR reporting

Requirements of the HR Advisor:

  • Previous experience working at HR Advisor level, with the confidence to operate autonomously
  • Strong experience managing employee relations casework independently
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application
  • Ability to build credibility quickly and work effectively in a changing environment
