An award-winning, law firm is looking for a Head of Finance and Reporting to join their team. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance & Reporting to lead their finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational delivery of top-tier finance services and the development of a robust reporting suite, aligning with the firm’s strategic financial goals. The ideal candidate will drive financial performance and engage with key stakeholders to achieve excellence.
This role offers a Hybrid working model based in their Taunton, Exeter or Truro offices.
This is a full-time opportunity working 9 am-5.15 pm Monday to Friday
Responsibilities of the Head of Finance and Reporting include: -
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, Conducting month/quarter-end adjustments and reconciliations, Overseeing annual budgetary and forecasting processes
- Relationship and Team Management: Acting as a trusted advisor to the Executive Committee and key stakeholders, Building strong relationships with Partners and colleagues through effective communication, Supervising the Finance Manager and supporting team members
- Continuous Improvement: Documenting and improving internal processes and controls, Assisting in planning and implementing operational changes
Requirements of the Head of Finance and Reporting include: -
- Previous experience in a similar role,
- CCAB-qualified Accountant with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and complex finance systems.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
- Experience managing large teams and within a professional/legal environment.
- Proven expertise with legal Practice Management Systems
