An excellent opportunity has arisen for a General Office Assistant to join a successful, Exeter-based law firm on a full-time, permanent basis. You will provide support to the Operations department by opening and distributing post, organising couriers, scanning, photocopying & printing, as well as other general administrative tasks. Our client is looking for someone who is confident using Microsoft applications, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel and has exceptional organisational skills.

Responsibilities include: -

  • Open/distribute the post each morning
  • Collect, sort, and frank the post each afternoon
  • Ensure deadlines are met for sending special delivery mail
  • Organise couriers
  • Undertake large volume scanning, photocopying, and printing requests in-house
  • Assist with the administration of file archiving and retrieval service
  • Document printing and finishing
  • Provide back-up for the reception team as necessary

Requirements: -

  • Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • A strong team player with plenty of drive and enthusiasm
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and logical approach
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
