Summary:

Our client is looking to recruit a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be undertaking a role within a dynamic and ambitious company, with your duties based around providing support to the CFO and overseeing the creation and monitoring of financial plans. The successful candidate must have high-growth business scale-up experience. You should also be a fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW qualified or Finalist accountant.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Defining financial situations and recommendations from quantitative analyses.
  • Appraising investment decisions.
  • Assessing the potential for growth and development.
  • Engaging with forecasting and analysis based upon robust budgeting.
  • Implementing and following analytical processes.
  • Keeping updated with business trends and results.
  • Providing advice to improve organisational performance.

 

Qualifications needed:

  • You should be a fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW qualified or Finalist accountant.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Business scale-up experience (essential).
  • Previous experience using PowerQuery, PowerPivot, PowerBl and SQL (advantageous).
  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills with sound knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, high-growth, capital-intensive businesses with a high transaction volume.
  • Background in developing financial models and business cases.
  • Sufficient experience in modelling and presenting scenario analyses and compelling data-driven recommendations.

 

Person Specification:

  • A highly numerate individual with strong attention to detail.
  • A decisive thinker who can quickly analyse information and use it to make firm decisions.
  • Somebody who can provide accurate and useful financial advice to the CFO grounded in data-driven analysis and performance evaluation.
  • An analytical, detail-oriented individual who values finding solutions to problems, and who can thrive in fast-paced environment.
  • Somebody with strong communication skills, who can summarise complex financial information into simple, palatable messages.

 

Package:

This role offers a Competitive salary range of £40k-£50k based upon experience. There is also a generous benefits package on offer including 25 Days Holiday plus bank holidays, 5 days Company Sick Pay, and access to Cycle to Work, Tech and Referral Schemes.
