The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Planning Consultant to join the Taunton office. This hybrid role focuses on delivering holistic financial advice to a wide-ranging portfolio, from business owners to high-net-worth individuals, across areas such as pensions, investments, protection, and trusts.

You’ll be supported by a dedicated team of Paraplanners and Sales Support Administrators, allowing you to focus on strategic advice and business development. Building strong internal and external relationships will be key to your success.

Responsibilities of the Financial Planning Consultant: 

  • Manage and advise a portfolio of clients with a focus on holistic financial planning.
  • Develop new business through internal referrals and external professional connections.
  • Deliver high-quality, compliant financial advice and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Mentor junior staff and support continual improvement of advisory standards.

Requirements of the Planning Consultant: 

  • Chartered status (or working towards this within 12–18 months).
  • Proven experience in a fee-based financial planning environment.
  • Strong networking, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Competency in Intelligent Office (IO) and paperless technology systems.
