The Role:
This senior leadership position will oversee all financial operations, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and clear insight to support business growth. Working closely with the Managing Director and wider Senior Management Team, the Financial Controller will lead the finance function and play a key role in shaping the organisation’s financial future.
Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:
- Lead the production of management accounts, statutory accounts, and monthly board packs.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial modelling.
- Ensure compliance with reporting standards, VAT requirements, and audit processes.
- Develop financial systems, controls, KPIs, and reconciliation processes to support real-time accuracy.
Requirements of the Financial Controller:
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
- Proven experience in a senior finance role within an SME or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical accounting skills, including FRS 101 and audit preparation.
- Experience with Sage and the ability to enhance financial reporting and processes.
