Join a Leading Global Retail Company as their Financial Accountant
Our client, a highly successful online retailer and manufacturing company with a strong British Brand, is dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services to their customers. With a commitment to innovation, quality, and excellence, they are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller (FC), as Financial Accountant your key responsibilities include supporting month-end processes, financial reporting, and acting as a key contact during audits to ensure efficient business operations as well as offering day to day support to the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including posting additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Prepare Management Accounts for review by the Financial Controller.
- Assist in month-end close and management information (MI) preparation.
- Oversee and review payment runs.
- Manage Cashflow, including trade loan applications.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet nominals.
- Support the Sales and Purchase Ledger teams, covering as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Achieved or working towards CIMA qualification.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, tenacious, and eager to learn and improve systems.
- Ability to process large volumes of transactions accurately and methodically.
- Team player with a collaborative approach.
- Digital literacy: proficiency in Gmail, intermediate MS Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups desirable), Word, and accountancy software experience.
- Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills.
