Our client, a market-leading retailer, whose company values include putting their customers first, honesty, support and working together are seeking a Finance Team Leader to join their Accounts department based in East Devon.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will oversee and manage the day to day running of the Accounts department and maintain systems of control to ensure accurate and timely management accounting information.
This is a full-time or part time permanent position with hybrid working of three days a week in the office and two days working from home.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of the Accounts Team
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for review
- Maintain the Fixed asset register, including posting of additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Support year end processes and assist with the year end audit
- Ownership of month end journals, accruals and prepayments
Skills and Experience include:
- Ideally AAT 3 or 4 qualified, or QBE
- Management of a small team
- A high degree of accuracy and eye for detail
- Strong system skills (Preferably SAGE 200)
- Excellent communication skills including strong business writing skills, tailored to the recipient
- MS Excel skills, (pivot tables and look ups desirable) word and competence with accountancy software experience
