Up to £45k DOE | Office-Based | Exeter

Our client a respectable and growing law firm is seeking a Facilities Manager based in Exeter. As a Facilities Assistant, You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operations, and safety of our clients' facilities. You will lead a team of facility staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure that the facilities meet regulatory standards, operational requirements, and the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Due to the nature of this role, it is office-based with some requirements to travel across offices as required.

Facilities Manager responsibilities include:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the facilities, including building maintenance, janitorial services, security, landscaping, and waste management. Ensure that all facilities operate efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of occupants and visitors
  • Develop and manage facility budgets, forecasting expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures to optimise spending
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees, tenants, and visitors. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to facility operations, including maintenance logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation. Prepare regular reports for management on key performance indicators and facility metrics

Facilities Manager requirements include:

  • Proven experience in facility management, property management, or related role
  • Strong knowledge of facility operations, building systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) are a plus
