£22,620 | Office-Based | Exeter

Our client a respectable and growing law firm is seeking a Facilities Assistant based in Exeter. As a Facilities Assistant, You will work closely with the Facilities Manager and other team members to ensure that our facilities are well-maintained, safe, and conducive to the needs of our employees and visitors.

Due to the nature of this role, it is office-based with some requirements to travel across offices as required.

Facilities Assistant responsibilities include:

  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing office spaces, conference rooms, and common areas to maintain a clean and tidy environment
  • Monitor and maintain safety and security protocols within the facility, including fire safety equipment checks, emergency exit signage, and access control systems. Report any safety hazards or security concerns to the Facilities Manager promptly
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and company policies and procedures related to facilities management. Participate in training programs to stay updated on relevant regulations and best practices
  • Assist with inventory management of supplies, equipment, and materials needed for facility maintenance and operations

Facilities Assistant requirements include:

  • Previous experience in facilities management, maintenance, or related field preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
