Are you an experienced professional in Employee Relations or Human Resources seeking your next career opportunity? Do you have extensive experience in handling trade unions and fostering strong relationships? We are seeking an Employee Relations Manager to join an Environmentally Conscious company based in Exeter.

This role offers Hybrid flexible working model. Monday – Friday 37 hours per week

Employee Relations Manager responsibilities include:

  • Lead and develop the Employee Relations (ER) team to ensure high capability and excellent service to all customers
  • Define and implement the ER strategy to drive culture change and empower managers to proactively address ER issues
  • Manage relationships and strategies with unions and employee representatives, supporting engagement initiatives, collective consultations, and negotiations
  • Oversee key external stakeholder relationships, including Employment Solicitors and third-party providers, and lead ER projects while acting as an escalation point for complex cases to ensure effective resolution and risk mitigation

Employee Relations Manager requirements include:

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience/qualification in employment law.
  • Extensive experience in Employee Relations (ER) roles, including managing trade union relationships and handling major organizational changes (e.g., TUPE, terms & conditions).
  • Proven track record in managing complex cases through to tribunals.
