Summary: 

Cathedral Appointments has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join a local, well-established law firm as Head of Ddepartment in Exeter. The successful candidate will have broad experience across Dispute Resolution and will have experience of managing a small team.

What will you be doing as the Head of Dispute Resolution?

• You will run your own varied caseload of matters, which could include; Employment, Inheritance Act and Contentious Probate, Contract disputes, Civil procedure, Shareholder and Partnership disputes, Debt collection, Construction disputes, Housing/landlord and tenant disputes, Boundary disputes
• You will manage a small team- allocating work, undertaking day to day supervisory duties, coaching/mentoring team members and ensuring training needs are met
• You will keep up to date with changes and developments in the law
• You will build and maintain a network of contacts and referrers

Skills/Qualifications of a Head of  Dispute Resolution:

• You will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with extensive general Dispute Resolution experience
• Desirable experience areas are; Employment, Inheritance Act and Contentious Probate, Contract disputes, Civil procedure, Shareholder and Partnership disputes, Debt collection, Construction disputes, Housing/landlord and tenant disputes, Boundary disputes
• You will have had some experience of managing a team
• You will have strong technical ability
