About the role

Joining this reputable law firm based in Exeter, you will be running your own caseload from inception to completion of Residential Property matters, including:

  • Freehold/leasehold, purchases, sales and remortgage matters
  • Taking instructions, dealing with client queries over the phone and in person
  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders and third parties
  • Preparing, advising, and drafting necessary documents
  • Working proactively as part of an established and supportive team of 4 people
  • Offering guidance to less experienced staff members produce a high-quality service
  • Maintaining excellent file administration

About you

As an experienced Residential Conveyancer, you will ideally have at least 3 years’ experience of fee earning and managing your own caseload within a residential property team. If you have gained any commercial property experience, this is an advantage but not essential. You might be qualified by experience, or be a Chartered Legal Executive or qualified Licensed Conveyancer, and are accustomed to running your own files to a high standard with independence.

With good prior experience in a local or regional law firm, you are comfortable working collaboratively within a busy team environment, liaising directly with clients and third parties in the interests of progressing each matter. You are confident speaking with clients about the more complex elements of their case, taking pride in your work and being self-motivated to deliver great results to each client you work with.

You possess excellent communication and client care skills, being professional, perceptive and calm under pressure when working to deadlines and prioritising your time. Prior experience in using a case management system would be advantageous, and you’ll be keen to bring your insights and ideas to the firm, positively contributing towards the collegiate and collaborative environment this firm offers.
