Ref: 2516

Ref: 10346

About the firm

We are proud to support the growth of a highly successful, regional firm that is seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor or Associate to join their experienced team. Working with local and regional clients across a range of sectors and sizes, the firm is known for its quality work and healthy work-life balance. The Commercial Property team has a strong reputation regionally and advises on all aspects, ranging from site development to transactions and property management.

About the role

Based from the Exeter office with hybrid working, you will play a key role in the Commercial Property team, supporting clients with general leasehold, sales, and acquisition matters. You will work closely to support the Corporate team with property aspects of M&A deals, including property restructuring, reorganisation, and warranty matters. Working directly with two experienced senior Commercial Property lawyers, you will benefit from excellent support from paralegals and less experienced members of the team to ensure you are able to focus on the right level of work as you develop.

The firm has a real focus on setting achievable targets, in a culture that values wellbeing and healthy work-life balance. The firm prides itself on collaboration and a ‘low hierarchy’ environment where individuals are encouraged to develop and enhance their skills and experience over time.

You will be encouraged to engage in business development activities where you can promote your own profile with land agents and referrer contacts in the region along with that of the firm.

As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to supervise and support the development of less experienced members of the team, ensuring everyone has the skills and confidence to deliver an exceptional experience to clients every day.

About you

As an enthusiastic Commercial Property Lawyer, you take pride in delivering exceptional client service and encourage your colleagues to do the same. You have developed a passion for working with a wide range of clients, providing appropriate, insightful, and commercially relevant advice to meet their specific needs and interests. You focus on keeping up to date with the latest legal developments affecting Commercial Property and work proactively to consider potential impact on your clients.

You are readily able to demonstrate your strong analytical and communication skills and work strategically with clients and as part of a team. Being resilient to work under pressure by organising yourself effectively, you will be able to meet deadlines as needed. You will possess proven rapport-building skills and you are tenacious, thorough, and attentive to detail, taking pride in the high standards of your work.

You will be looking to make your mark and build a successful career as well as supporting the development of others in the team. Having a natural ability and experience in business development activities, you will help to extend the firms, and your own personal profile with a team of experts supporting you.

Benefits include:

  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to five days
  • Flexible and hybrid working options
  • Two days paid volunteering leave
  • Reduced costs for legal services that are offered by the firm
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Pension and medical care plans, including eyecare vouchers
  • Invitation to regular social events
  • Season ticket loan scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme and travel loans
