Summary:
Cathedral Appointments has a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to join our client’s people-orientated, well-established law firm in a beautiful Somerset location. You will be working within the organisation’s Civil Litigation Department and will be a fully qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Paralegal with 2-4 years’ experience. The successful candidate’s experience should be within the field of civil litigation and dispute resolution.
For the majority of the time, the successful candidate will be working in close proximity with the team’s 2 senior solicitors. However, they must also be prepared to work independently.
What will you be doing as a Civil Litigation Solicitor?
- Property litigation (boundary disputes, adverse possession, nuisance etc).
- Residential and Commercial Landlord & Tenant.
- Contentious probate.
- General Civil Litigation (contracts, partnerships, commercial disputes etc).
The successful candidate should have extensive experience in the above areas.
Skills/Qualifications of a Civil Litigation Solicitor:
- A fully qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Paralegal with 2-4 years PQE in the field of civil litigation/dispute resolution.
- A vehicle owner with a full, clean UK Driving Licence, who is willing to consider travelling to other offices as part of their role.
- An ambitious individual with a drive to succeed and an ability to use initiative.
- An ability to form and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients through excellent communication skills.
- Experience of dealing with complex cases.
- Refined networking skills and a willingness to develop the firm.
- A self-supportive individual requiring minimal intervention who can manage their own administration.
