A well-established and innovative organisation with a global reach is seeking a talented Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join their dedicated accounts team. Operating within a close-knit, supportive environment, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional service to clients and partners worldwide.
The Role:
This is a 15-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the smooth operation of the finance function.
This role is office-based in Cullompton, Monday – Friday, 9 - 5
Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant:
- Carry out daily bank updates, reconciliations, and weekly payment runs
- Maintain purchase and sales ledgers, including creating and updating accounts on Sage
- Support monthly stock takes, prepare valuation reports, and reconcile online sales
- Contribute to monthly management accounts and maintain accurate financial data
Requirements of the Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration, ideally with Sage (2+ years)
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A collaborative, adaptable approach with the ability to work well in a team
