Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced BMS Project Engineer to take responsibility for the design, development, implementation and commissioning of Building Management Systems.

This is a varied, hands-on engineering position covering the complete BMS project lifecycle, from initial specification and system design through to installation, commissioning and final handover. You will work closely with new and existing clients, translating their requirements into effective, technically robust BMS solutions.

  • Manage project assurance documentation, including FAT, SAT and Operation and Maintenance packages, while providing ongoing technical support and training to onsite technicians.

Requirements of the BMS Project Engineer:

  • Strong technical knowledge and practical experience of Building Management Systems (BMS) and automated building controls.
  • Experience across the BMS project lifecycle, including system design, software, installation and commissioning.
  • Ability to produce and interpret BMS specifications, control strategies, schematics and associated technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, engage effectively with clients and travel to sites as required.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and annual bonus scheme.
  • Monthly car allowance and public transport travel expenses.
  • Individual development plan tailored to your professional goals.
  • Contributory pension scheme, with a 5% employer contribution based on basic salary.
  • Private medical insurance and life assurance at four times annual salary.
  • 25 days' annual leave plus public holidays.

If you are an experienced BMS Project Engineer looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of projects from initial design through to commissioning and handover, we would love to hear from you. Apply today or get in touch with Cathedral Appointments to find out more.

Note on Sponsorship: We regret to inform you that at this time, we are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorisation for this role. Therefore, candidates must possess valid authorisation to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship.
