Up to £35k DOE | Hybrid | Exeter

Our client a well-established accountancy firm-based Exeter is seeking an Audit and Accounts Associate to join their professional and experienced team. As the Audit and Accounts Associate you will Establish and oversee a comprehensive system for recording, filing, and monitoring to efficiently track job completion, work progress, and billing requirements.

The role offers Hybrid working with regular access to the Exeter office.

Our Client is open to accepting applications from candidates from a range of industry experience, whether you are seasoned within the role, or new to the role.

Responsibilities for the Audit and Accounts Associate:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements and corporation tax returns for limited companies and charities and undertake all stages of Companies Act audits.
  • Supervise and direct the audit team, ensuring efficient and timely completion of assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and systems recording.
  • Prepare and communicate audit-related letters and reports, addressing pertinent matters for both internal and external users.
  • Provide proactive client services, addressing day-to-day matters, liaising with Partners and staff, and taking a holistic approach to advisory services.

Requirements of the Audit and Accounts Associate:

  • AAT/ACA/ACCA part-qualified or AAT Level 4 studying
  • Ideally you will have statutory audit experience, gained in a practice environment  
  • You will be able to work to deadlines and within limited response times
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
