About the role

As an experienced Associate/Senior Associate you will be joining the Commercial team based in Exeter who offer clients access to a full range of corporate and commercial legal services.  

Working as part of a high-performing national and growing regional team, you will be providing a first-class service to clients who operate in a variety of sectors on a diverse range of commercial matters which include but are not limited to business clients, from start-ups, SMEs, and larger corporates to family businesses.

In addition, you will be working with a range of public sector clients to advise and assist with joint ventures, development agreements and bespoke service contracts. The team also further supports public sector clients on commercial issues including outsourcing, public sector companies and commercialisation.

About You

Being an experienced Commercial/IP Lawyer, you will have experience in a broad range of corporate commercial matters. You are confident in the technical advice you provide to colleagues and directly to clients, being able to consider and provide commercially insightful and appropriate advice across a range of sectors. Comfortable leading discussions directly with clients and communicating effectively across various media, you can engage and inspire confidence in the advice you are providing.

Naturally collaborative and team-focussed, you will enjoy spending time with your colleagues in the Exeter office and appreciate how this facilitates professional development amongst less experienced people in the team. Equally, you enjoy the option for some focussed home-based working as part of our client’s hybrid working approach.

Having a natural ability and experience in business development activities, you will help to extend the firms, and your own personal profile with a team of experts supporting you.
