The Role: 

An excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a dynamic, expanding business and support the finance function alongside an experienced leadership team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior accountants, contributing to financial accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant: 

  • Manage daily financial transactions including payments, receipts, and reconciliations of cash and bank accounts.
  • Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accuracy across sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Support month-end activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting.
  • Assist in producing financial analyses, reports, and updates to aid informed decision-making.

Key Requirements of the Assistant Accountant: 

  • Part-qualified accountant (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven understanding of accounting processes, controls, and financial systems.
  • Strong IT and Excel skills, with experience in Sage desirable.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
