Cathedral Appointments is recruiting on behalf of an established, family-run financial planning firm based in Chudleigh, with over 100 years of experience supporting clients across the South West with mortgages, protection, pensions, retirement and investment planning. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Services Administrator to develop their career across mortgages, protection and wealth management, within a close-knit and friendly team.
The Role
As Financial Services Administrator, you will take ownership of an established mortgage book, support new mortgage and protection business, and provide wider back-office support across the financial planning business. This role would suit someone with a strong understanding of mortgage and protection products, who is highly organised, able to manage multiple cases and deadlines, and comfortable working independently using their own initiative. Experience or qualifications in mortgages and protection would be an advantage.
Responsibilities for the Financial Services Administrator:
- Manage mortgage and protection administration through to completion
- Complete protection applications, using various providers' online platforms and portals to submit cases
- Manage outstanding information and proactively progress cases forward
- Act as main point of contact for clients, handling queries professionally and efficiently, and keeping advisers and clients updated on case progress
- Support financial advisers with administration, research and recommendations to support client advice
- Produce and write suitability letters, and maintain accurate client files and records in line with regulatory and compliance requirements
Requirements for the Financial Services Administrator include:
- Knowledge and understanding of mortgages, protection, investments and related products is preferable
- Strong administration, organisational and case management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good IT skills, including standard office applications; experience with Intelliflo Office (IO) is an advantage
- Ability to work independently, with a confident, positive, can-do attitude
