UP TO £34K DOE | HYBRID WORKING MODEL | EXETER 

Our client, a global manufacturing and distribution company based in Exeter is seeking an Accounts Manager to join their growing yet personable team. As an Accounts Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. 

This role offers Hybrid working with regular access to the Exeter Office. 

Accounts Manager responsibilities include: - 

  • Accounts Receivable and Payable Management: Oversee the management of Accounts Receivable and Payable, including ledger maintenance and team supervision 
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor and report key metrics related to both Accounts Receivable and Payable to the Financial Controller 
  • Audit Support and Issue Resolution: Assist with internal and external audit queries, and resolve outstanding queries related to sales and purchase ledgers by liaising with internal departments and external parties to ensure the successful completion 
  • Process Improvement and Cross-functional Collaboration: Maintain and standardise processes across the team and the broader company, ensuring continuous improvement. Act as a liaison between Accounts Payable/Receivable functions and the Finance/General Ledger team, particularly during the month-end close-down process 

Accounts Manager requirements include: - 

  • An AAT qualification, familiarity with ERP systems, knowledge of SQL/Power Query, and experience in a manufacturing company would be advantageous 
  • Possess both practical and theoretical expertise in accounts receivable and payable, with excellent proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills 
  • Demonstrate strong communication abilities for liaising with external customers and internal departments, capable of working independently and as part of a larger team 
  • You are motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain flexibility in a dynamic work environment
