A well-established manufacturing business based in Exeter is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their friendly onsite team. They supply high-quality products across the UK and pride themselves on excellent service, craftsmanship, and a supportive working environment.
The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional seeking a flexible, part-time, permanent role. Working 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, Monday to Friday), the Accounts Assistant will manage the day-to-day finance function at site level, ensuring financial information is processed accurately and efficiently, while working closely with the central accounts team.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:
- Manage sales and purchase ledgers, credit control, and payment processes
- Reconcile supplier statements, maintain the cash book, and process invoices and credit notes.
- Support VAT return preparation and payment runs where applicable.
- Act as a key link between the site and the head office accounts team, providing financial support and updates.
Requirements of the Accounts Assistant:
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts assistant role.
- Proficiency with Sage 200 accounting software (essential).
- Strong knowledge of ledger processes, reconciliations, and credit control.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to work independently with excellent communication skills.
