Summary:

Our client, a renowned, forward-thinking Law Firm situated in Plymouth, is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a 6-12 month FTC basis. You will be responsible for assisting the team with processes and managing the firm’s financial data. Your skills will be essential in ensuring that high quality service is consistently maintained. You should have sound problem solving skills.

What will you be doing?

  • Engaging in a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to the processing of financial data in areas such as client account management, daily payment processing and receipts bank reconciliations.
  • Completing Counsel Fee notes, Expert fees and general purchase ledger invoices within the business.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Accounts Rules adhered to by Solicitors.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • An Accounts Assistant with excellent knowledge of cashiering, accounting, bank and purchase ledger procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce work of the highest quality.
  • The ability to become quickly accustomed to a new accounting software and post financial transactions successfully.
  • A proactive worker who is highly organised and able to work efficiently to tight deadlines.
  • A logical problem solver who can analyse and process complex information quickly and effectively.
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to work co-operatively in a team environment.
