Our client, the largest independent accountancy practice is seeking to recruit a Trainee Insolvency Case Administrator within their Exeter offices to join their Business Recovery & Insolvency department. As a Trainee Insolvency Administrator, you will assist with a mixture of corporate and personal cases to support the Manager and Partner. After the required period of work experience, you will also be given the opportunity to commence your studies to undertake the CPI (Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency) with the opportunity to carry on to complete the JIEB (Joint Insolvency Exam Board) qualification.

Trainee Insolvency Case Administrator responsibilities include: -

  • Consulting with a range of stakeholders, solicitors, agents, and other professional advisors
  • Assisting with asset realisation
  • Preparing Statement of Affairs, Declaration of Solvency Statements, and Outcome Statements
  • Drafting appointment documentation and other documents, as required
  • Assisting with investigations, including reviewing bank statements, accounts, and other company records
  • Identifying any potential risk issues and bringing them to the attention of management

Trainee Insolvency Case Administrator requirements include: -

  • Analytical, methodical, and numerical
  • Resilient, able to multi-task and work independently / flexibly
  • Takes the initiative, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of IPS software is preferable, but not necessary as training will be provided
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You will ideally be educated to a degree level (or equivalent track record) as the role requires in-depth studying for extended periods of time and passing exams which may not be suitable for those without similar experience
