Our client, a forward-thinking Accountancy firm, is looking to recruit a Trainee General Practice Accountant to join them in their Taunton office on a full-time, permanent basis. Your role will be centered around providing an impeccable level of service whilst working with a wide variety of clients across a range of industry sectors. You will be working towards a professional accountancy qualification, whether that be your AAT, ACA or ACCA.
What will you be doing as a Trainee General Practice Accountant?
- Producing accounts files and corporations tax returns.
- Supporting senior team members on external audit engagements.
- Acknowledging and responding to all client correspondence rapidly and professionally.
- Undertaking training in core products such as Digita and Xero.
- Engaging in bookkeeping and VAT return preparation, and raising queries with the client/manager as and when necessary.
- Keeping colleagues updated with your progress through communication tools such as email, telephone and Microsoft Teams.
- Assisting with general administrative duties.
Skills/Qualifications of a PQ Trainee General Practice Accountant:
- You will be actively working towards your AAT/ACA/ACCA qualification.
- You will be highly organised and self-motivated with an ability to work from your own initiative and display good attention to detail.
- An understanding of relevant statutory compliance issues affecting the firm including GDPR and Money Laundering will be essential.
- You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You will be ambitious in nature, and eager to discover new ways to progress and develop.
- Your flexibility and adaptability will be essential for this role.
