SHEQ Assessor - Our client, a progressive and fast-growing business, requires a SHEQ Assessor (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) to join their Plymouth team on a full-time, permanent basis. The main purpose of the role is to provide technical guidance/advice, communicate with customers via telephone and email, and conduct assessments of companies’ management systems to ensure they meet the appropriate requirements. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years Health & Safety experience, preferably gained from within Construction, a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health as well as excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities include: -

  • Conduct assessments in line with company standards and expectations
  • Communicate by telephone, email, and virtual platforms
  • Provide technical guidance and advice
  • Conduct CPD to keep current with legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Develop relationships with H&S Consultancies
  • Provide input into the development of the new business opportunities
  • Undertake assessments of companies’ management systems to ensure they meet the requirement of the SSIP Core criteria

Requirements: -

  • Minimum of 2 years Health & Safety experience preferably Construction
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience to deliver information and talk confidently with Health & safety and industry professionals
  • Have a very good understanding of current Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and Health & Safety legislation
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or NEBOSH General Certificate in Construction Safety & Health
  • NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent Environmental Certification
  • IT literate including use of Microsoft packages
